St Mary’s School in Warwick achieved a significant milestone on October 19 in the celebration of 150 years of education. The festivities from October 18 onwards were faith and fun-filled, drawing large crowds from near and far, transforming the school grounds into a lively festival on the past weekend.
Here children enjoyed a variety of activities, from traditional fair games to thrilling rides with many who attended exploring the numerous boutique stalls, enjoying the company of some fury friends in the petting zoo and purchasing from the wide selection of delectable baked goods.
The school carpark was lined with food and drink vendors offering an array of delightful treats, ensuring that everyone, even the parents, remained satisfied throughout the day; though, the talent show drew the largest crowds with lively music and captivating performances.
Cheering could also be heard throughout the afternoon with the Bobbies vs Bushies football game as on lookers soaked up the beautiful sunny weather.
St Mary’s School Principal Emma Timmins commented on the success of the festival saying it “had an overwhelming amount of support" and "community spirit was alive and well".
As the school and parish continue to nurture a passion for learning and community, this milestone celebration highlighted the enduring commitment and faith that has flourished over a century-and-a-half.
